Amadeus is the gentleman of gentlemen. His manners are immaculate, and he seeks love and praise from his rider. He has FEI quality of movement and has definite 'best friend' potential. He loves to please; he enjoys lateral work and a pat on the neck when he does a good job. He offers super forward movement and has a 10 for a canter. All of his gaits are easy to sit... he has 3 correct and extremely competitive dressage gaits. There are no words to describe the comfort of his canter.
  • Amadeus: 3 1/2 yearsStarting under saddle, always kind, willing and sweet.
  • Amadeus: 3 YearsLearning to stand nicely to be mounted. So important!
  • Amadeus: 4 YearsBaby dressage....a natural. This is a friend riding him...Jill is the proud owner of Celestina!
  • Amadeus: 5 YearsPlaying in the water with new friends that were swinging into the lake. He loves to hit the trails and has seen and done just about everything there is for a horse to experience on a trail. This is my go-to man for sure!

His sire passes along the natural talent and inclination for the upper level movements. This is very evident in Amadeus. He is the last offspring from this beloved combination ...we lost both Sire and Dam and are so proud of them when we see their wonderful qualities blossoming in Amadeus.

He is a stunning friesian sporthorse of modern type. Lean, leggy and elegant. Excellent feathering. It is rare to find a horse that would make a wonderful dressage partner for an amateur rider that is looking for generosity and a good mind, as well as make a serious dressage prospect for the competitive rider that would love the look and mind of the friesian combined with the go button and caliber of movement for international competition.

No vices, super mixing with the herd. No bad habits and only good experiences under his belt.

Amadeus will be a tough one to let go. I have done everything there is to do on the trails with this fellow and have enjoyed every minute. I look forward to our arena work every time I get on his back. Very rewarding and enjoyable. Never an argument. Our work days consist of cantering across an open field to peek at the cows... trotting up the hills and finishing up in the arena. Amadeus never has a bad intention or mood; he pays close attention to what is asked of him and is a pleaser.

We began baby dressage in 2011/2012 and he is advancing very nicely. Please contact us for more information or an update on his training status.

PS....this horse LOVES to swim!
